The folks that Stroke
of Hope sends are very good. They've really done good work with
her. It's been slow but I expect it to be slow and she has to accept
that it's gonna be slow. She keeps saying, "I'm going to walk
in July." And I say, "Hey Sis, face reality…that's
not gonna happen." But miracles occur - I don't believe in miracles
- but miracles do occur. Today she walked all the way to the front
porch! It's going to happen but it's going to take a while and that's
her basic problem - she can't accept that reality. But I know Stroke
of Hope will keep motivating and encouraging her until she's able
to walk on her own…maybe with a walker or a cane but on her own."
