Robert Woodson, Sr.
Mount Vernon, NY

In 1998 another stroke did occur which again caused some weakness, but no permanent disability. It was frightening because we had already been down that road once, but again we were thankful for her recovery and attempted to live by faith and without fear.

However, in 2002 Edna called me from home at my job complaining of an excruciating headache. I rushed home, got her to the hospital and learned that she had a bleed that required surgery. The surgery was considered successful, but neither of us was prepared for what the future held. Below is a letter I wrote to our church describing the turn of events.

My wife has remained positive and full of love and kindness throughout the ordeal of the last two years. She's shown incredible strength and patience and has never said an unkind word. She's incredible!
