Meet Dr. Robert A.
Volin
Dr.
Robert A. Volin is an Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology
at the School of Public Health, New York Medical College, and is
on the clinical staff of the Speech and Hearing Department at Westchester
County Medical Center.
He came to academic speech-language pathology after thirteen years
as a hospital-based staff clinician at the VA Medical Center in
Manhattan. While at the VA, he was a co-creator of a series of clinical
computer programs (no longer available) written for aphasia
rehabilitation in the 1980s. At New York Medical College, he divides
his time between seeing his patients and teaching his students the
neurological aspects of Speech-Language Pathology. He paddles his
kayak whenever he can.
